Game on, archers.

It’s winter, and that means it’s indoor season. What better way to beat the cold and the snow than by slinging arrows at some three-spot targets. Or, how about fulfilling a dream by chasing some exotic animals on a video hunt?

We’ve got the recipe to cure your winter-time blues.

Here’s what’s on tap at the Academy.

ACADEMY

ARCHERY CLASSES

We’ve got multiple, 6-week classes starting soon in our Experience Archery, and Intermediate Archery courses. Listed below are the start dates and class times. Unless specified, classes are open to all archers age 6 and older. Call (717) 556-1379 for information on any of the activities listed below.

EXPERIENCE ARCHERY – ALL AGES: Jan. 2 and Jan. 11, 6:30-7:30 p.m.; Jan. 7, 2:30-3:30 p.m.; Feb. 20, 5-6 p.m.

INTERMEDIATE ARCHERY: Jan. 2, Jan. 11, 5-6 p.m.; Feb. 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

INTRO to COMPETITIVE ARCHERY: Jan. 7, 8:30-9:30 a.m.

INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSES

LEVEL 2: Jan. 13-14.

LEVEL 3: Feb. 10-12.

ARCHERY LEAGUES

TARGET: 10-week league starts Jan. 11, 6-7:45 p.m.; 30-arrow FITA round with 11-ring scoring. Register here.

TECHNOHUNT: 10-week league starts week of Jan. 11; 30-arrow rounds, shooting video projections of animals. Register here.

SPECIAL EVENTS

S3DA INDOOR STATES: Jan. 15, shoot 30 arrows at NFAA targets. Must be S3DA member. Register here.

LANCASTER ARCHERY CLASSIC: Jan. 27-29. Largest East Coast tournament; 60-arrow qualifier, followed by eliminations and shoot-ups; 11-ring scoring. Register here.

COFFEE CLUB: Join us every Friday morning at 9 a.m. to eat donuts, drink coffee and shoot your bow.
