The leaves are about ready to change, the corn is being cut all around and the kids are back in school. Fall is on its way, and there’s no better place to spend time this season than at Lancaster Archery Academy. Fortunately, we have a full slate of activities lined up for September and October. Check it out.

ACADEMY

ARCHERY CLASSES

We’ve got several 6-week classes starting soon in our Experience Archery, Intermediate Archery, and Introduction to Competition courses. We’ve also got a 4-week Explore Bowhunting class planned. Listed below are the start dates and class times. Unless specified, classes are open to all archers age 6 and older. Call (717) 556-1379 for any information.

EXPERIENCE ARCHERY – ALL AGES: Sept. 14, 5-6 p.m.; Oct. 3, 2:30-3:30 p.m.; Oct. 14, 5-6 p.m.

EXPERIENCE ARCHERY – YOUTH CLASS: Oct. 8, 5-6 p.m.; for kids age 6-16.

INTERMEDIATE ARCHERY: Sept. 9, 6:30-7:30 p.m.; Sept. 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m.; Oct. 3, 10-11 a.m.; Oct. 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

INTRO TO COMPETITION: Oct. 3, 8:30-9:30 p.m.

EXPLORE BOWHUNTING: Sept. 21, 6-8 p.m.

TOURNAMENTS

FALL TARGET LEAGUE: This 10-week league starts Sept. 30; shooting 7-9 p.m. every Wednesday; practice starts at 6:30 p.m.; standard NFAA 600-round. Click here to register.

TECHNOHUNT LEAGUE: This 10-week league starts Sept. 30; shooting is at images of animals projected on a screen by video feed; call (717) 556-1379 to register, or stop in to the LAS Pro Shop.

FALL HARVEST SHOOT: Oct. 24-25; various shooting times; USA Archery, STAR FITA 600 round; online registration to open soon.

SPECIAL EVENTS

HARDY WARD SEMINAR: Former U.S. and world archery champion; Oct. 17-18; breakfast and lunch provided; one-on-one coaching available for purchase Oct. 14-16; registration info coming soon.

USA ARCHERY INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION

LEVEL 2 COURSE: Sept. 25-26; must be 18 or older, have USA Archery or NFAA membership, complete a successful background screen and complete the SafeSport training. Register here.

LEVEL 3 COURSE:  Oct. 18-20; must have been a Level 2 instructor for at least 1 year. Register here.
